Sarah + Ahmad

Venue: Duke North Pavillion  |  Florals, Planning & Design:  Cathy Anna  |   Catering:  Virginia & Company

This sweet couple had a beautiful day for a wedding the Duke North Pavilion Atrium in Durham, NC.  Choosing a color scheme of burnt orange and navy, this fun and colorful wedding brought a lot of life to an all white and glass venue.  We brought in a 17' wide walnut arch, custom built by the Cathy Anna crew, and draped it with flowy white chiffon and touches of floral pops of light blue hydrangeas and orange roses, spray roses and natural seed pods.

The bridesmaids carried wooden floral hoops with floral touches and ribbons bringing in the couples rustic boho vibe.  Guest tables were decorated with navy linens and burlap and lace runners, lanterns and lots of florals creating a stunning showpieces throughout the room.

Guests could leave their best wishes and love notes for the couple on a decorative twine swag set up featuring pictures of the couple from their engagement session.  The guests had a great spread as they enjoyed an upscale Taco Bar created by Virginia & Company Catering.  After dinner they pulled out all the stops by setting up an inside S'mores Bar!

The couple had custom converse tennis shoes made just for their big day.  Oh, and if you thought you recognized a face or two in the pics, yep, that's me and Big Daddy celebrating our son, and another son, Court who served as Ahmad's best man!  There's nothing better than watching your hard work come to life to benefit your family.
